Scoutabout Doesn’t Disappoint!: July 2022

Scoutabout is an extraordinary camping and activity extravaganza that happens once every three years for Scouts and Guides in Surrey, aged 10 -14. Whilst the Earlswood 2nd Reigate Leaders cooked fajitas on a mass scale, ran the “Dog food target catapult” activity and enjoyed the firework display & live music, our Scouts were able to have-a-go at over 200 activities on offer. From blind volleyball to umbrella golf; from bucking broncos to a giant slip and slide; from lazer clay pigeon shooting to JCB driving there was literally something for everyone.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
