The Earlswood Carnival

Roll up, roll up! The Earlswood Carnival is back for it’s 7th year on Saturday 27th 2024 and we’d love it if you could join us!

Held on Woodlands Road Green, Redhill, RH1 6EY – what.3.words location Suffer.Oasis.Singer. The Carnival runs from 2 – 5pm and is a fantastic afternoon for all the local Earlswood/ Redhill community. We encourage you to walk to the event as parking is limited.

The 2024 Carnival features an Arrival Parade, Rampant Rooster Morris Dancers, Punch & Judy, Dog Show, Tug-of-War, Street Food, Beer Tent, lots of Independent Stalls, Best Victoria Sponge Cake, Flower Crowns, Bouncy Castle and much more!

Founded in 2016 and organised year on year by local resident, Rachel Wood, the Carnival acts as a fundraiser for Earlswood 2nd Reigate Scout Group who are fundraising to build a New Scouting Home.

The Earlswood Carnival is a free, family friendly “village fair” style event that celebrates our corner of the world. But we couldn’t run it without you! We are seeking stall holders, volunteers and corporate sponsorship. If you would like to be involved please email Rachel on fundraising@2ndreigate.org.uk.

Stall Holder Info

The site

• The Earlswood Carnival. Saturday 27th April 2023, 2-5pm. Woodlands Road Green, Redhill, RH1 6EY.
• Woodlands Road Green is located on the edge of Earlswood, surrounded by Brighton Road, Hooley Lane and Woodlands Road.
• The What.3.Words location of the site is: suffer.oasis.singer
• The site is outside in a small field that can have uneven ground.Pitches are 3 x 3 meter square. More space available at an additional charge. Please email fundraising@2ndreigate.org.uk to discuss.
• You are required to bring your own table, chair and gazebos. We have a team on hand to help with gazebo set up if required.
• Gazebo is highly recommended as the Earlswood Carnival is an outside event.

Access

• Access is from Woodlands Road Avenue, a narrow residential road at the back of the site.
• The event runs from 2 – 5pm. You will be required to arrive for set up between 10am – midday.
• Access to the site via car is available however due to the size of the site, we are unable to park your car on site. You can park your car on surrounding roads during the event, subject to availability.
• You must stay until the Carnival closes at 5pm when cars will be allowed back on site.

Booking a stall

• Stalls cost £20 each. This must be paid by April 1st 2024. Payment details below.
• Priority will be given to Earlswood & Redhill based sellers and community groups.
• If you are a fun fair attraction or street food vendor we ask for 20% of your days takings, on an honesty basis. Failure to show up, will incur a £30 charge.
• Before booking your pitch, please email Rachel at fundraising@2ndreigate.org.uk so we can send you a Stall Holder Booking Form.
• We will confirm payment within 5 working days of receiving it.
• If you book a stall without first making contact, you will receive an automatic refund.
• Refunds for “change of mind” are at the discretion of 2nd Reigate Scout Group executive group.
• The event will only be cancelled in extreme circumstances. We will notify you by email and refund your stall payment.
• All funds received will go to Earlswood 2nd Reigate Scout Group who are fundraising to Build a New Scouting Home. We are a registered charity, number 305780.

Event marketing

• • We will advertise the event via our @2ndReigate social media pages and on local groups sites eg Facebook Groups, Next Door etc.
  • Please tag #EarlswoodCarnival in any photos on social media.
  • Your stall will also be mentioned in the event brochure.
  • Your Stall Holder Booking Form will ask for 3 photos of you/ your products that you would like us to feature on social media. Please be sure to send these!
  • Please note, we try to be mindful with our event footprint and we encourage the minimised use of single use plastic.

• We accept stall booking payment via BACS or PayPal.
